Q. What kind of criminal cases do you handle?

A. Yes, Our office handles felonies, misdemeanors, violations, and traffic offenses.

Q. I have a pending criminal case. Do I need a lawyer?

A. Yes. You should have a criminal defense lawyer at all stages of your criminal case.

Q. What if I cannot afford an attorney?

A. You are entitled under the United Stated and New York Constitutions to an attorney at every stage of your criminal proceeding.  If you cannot afford a lawyer, you can apply for the public defender.

Q.Do you have experience handling criminal cases?

A. Yes. From 1998 to 2002, Elena served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office prosecuting a variety of criminal cases. As one of the busiest prosecutor’s offices in the country, Elena handled many different kinds of criminal cases. Since 2002, Elena has been representing people accused of crimes as a criminal defense lawyer in many different courts in upstate New York.

Q. How much do you charge to represent me in my criminal case?

A. It depends on the case. In general, a felony will cost more than a misdemeanor. Traffic offenses are usually a $250 flat fee.
